If it's been a little quiet around here lately, it's because we've been busy with, among other things, launching a new website for Tuotekuvastudio, the specializing on pack shots photo studio, located in central Helsinki.
As project lead, my responsibilities included strategy, IA, wireframes, art direction, writing content, you name it.
Initially, I tried out a number of site layouts, especially for the home page. However, after not really finding anything that was especially compelling, I decided to go with a very simplistic layout and color scheme, partially inspired by works of El Lisitsky and Kandinsky.
It was a winning situation, because the site is full of beautiful pack shots, I opted to focus more on the content than just the visuals.
Finally, it was a pleasure to see that client was totally satisfied with such powerful marketing tool he finally got.
